Larry F. Houston

Larry F. Houston is the Emmy-nominated Producer/Director of
THE X-MEN Animated show, the phenomenally successful 90s series that expanded and laid the foundation for Marvel’s multi-billion dollar franchise globally.
Hired by Filmation Studios as the first African-American Saturday Morning Storyboard Artist, Larry worked as a Storyboard Artist on some of the favorite 80s and 90s classic shows like:
Thundarr, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, ExoSquad, Transformers, Spawn, Mr. T, JEM, Batman, Real Ghostbusters, Conan, Swamp Thing, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mighty Orbots, Bionic Six, Visionaries, Hulk, and Defenders of the Earth.
He was also the Director of: Captain Planet, GI Joe, Fantastic Four 2nd season, The Karate Kid, Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, RoboCop Alpha Commando, Kid N Play, The Care Bears on CBS Saturday Mornings and three (3) Care Bear Movies.
Additionally, the iconic X-Men TV Intro & theatrical GI Joe Movie Intro, The Karate Kid Intro and the TV show Community’s GI Jeff Intro were all drawn & directed by Mr. Houston.
As a Writer, he wrote “Swarm” from Spiderman and his Amazing Friends and “Hearts and Cannons” from the GI JOE syndicated series.
The very FIRST animated appearance of THE BLACK PANTHER was in the X-MEN series as a cameo, followed by his FIRST fully animated episode, “Prey of the Black Panther”, in the 2nd season of THE FANTASTIC FOUR he directed.
Larry drew some of the most popular He-Man Mini-Comics like “Clash of Arms” and “Secret Liquid of Life”. He added Black, Asian, and Native American Heroes & Villains into the 80s He-Man pantheon, penciled a Tank story for the DNAgents comic book, Flare story from, & variant X-Men cover for X-MEN #1.
He is developing new stories for his creator-owned properties, The Vanguards, super-powered women freedom fighters first published through Charlton Bullseye and his super-team, The Enforcers, through
