Austin Ackert is a Cartoonist who hails from the American Southwest. With a unique style all his own, he blends Psychedelia with a Punk Rock aesthetic. His influences range from Jhonen Vasquez and Moebius to Robert Crumb and Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. Austin has worked on titles ranging from the Tremors Comic Book Anthology series and the Adventures of Gabes Cave published by Aequitas Comics to anthologies by Cosmic Lion Productions such as Wizerd Megazine and Lion Cosmique. His work has graced the cover of the Phoenix New Times and Covers for the "Night of the Chihuahuas" comic published by Pork Chop Express. The sketch Card giants at Upper Deck have tapped Austins talents and have featured his chromatic sketches on several card series including Looney Tunes, Scooby Doo, the X-Files, and DC Comics with more to come! He has also written, illustrated and self published his own creator owned comic book "Carmine Sunshine" and has more projects coming down the pipeline!
