D.J. Kirkbride’s latest comic is the rock ’n roll spy adventure Laser Joan and the Rayguns. He got his start in comics as an editor and writer on the Eisner and Harvey Award-winning Popgun anthologies from Image. He’s also had work published by IDW (the Amelia Cole series, The Bigger Bang, and The Biggest Bang) and Dark Horse (The Once and Future Queen, Errand Boys, and Never Ending).
D.J. is often seen at comic conventions with noted raconteur Douglas Gauthier (aka, heysoupface), a self-taught artist who has been making comic zines since childhood and art toys since adulthood. His comics tend to be sad, but in a funny kind of way. His toys are made out of scraps of wood that he found in the crawlspace under his house.
