D.J. Kirkbride & Douglas Gauthier

Appearing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

D.J. Kirkbride got his start in comics as an editor and writer on Image Comics’ Eisner and Harvey Award-winning POPGUN anthologies. After those, he co-wrote the acclaimed fantasy series AMELIA COLE, which was part of the Monkeybrain Comics digital launch on ComiXology, published in print by IDW Publishing. Kirkbride is also the author of the cosmic space opera THE BIGGER BANG and its sequel, THE BIGGEST BANG, also published by IDW. He co-wrote a modern reimagining of the King Arthur saga called THE ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN, which was nominated for The Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity in Comics, as well as the superhero drama NEVER ENDING, and the DARK HORSE PRESENTS rock ‘n roll action feature “Laser Joan and the Rayguns,” all published by Dark Horse Comics. A story he co-wrote also appeared in HEAVY METAL MAGAZINE #297. His latest comic book is the sci-fi adventure series ERRAND BOYS, which was published as singles issues by Image Comics and collected as a trade paperback by Dark Horse Comics. He is often seen at comic conventions with noted raconteur Douglas Gauthier (aka, heysoupface), a self-taught artist who has been making comic zines and toys since childhood. His comics tend to be sad but in a funny kind of way. Together, D.J. and Douglas love meeting fans and making new ones at L.A. Comic Con!
