Emily Mata is a Southern California–based comic artist and illustrator, and the creator of Dewy’s Adventures, a character-driven comic series that blends humor and expressive storytelling.
She is currently a student at the University of California, Riverside, where she works as a grader and contributes to The Highlander. Emily has also created original sketch cards for Upper Deck Company and is part of the Geek Speak Show, where she engages in conversations about comics and pop culture.
Her work has been recognized in educational and community spaces, including being featured in a published article after joining a district arts program. She also participates in outreach events, inspiring young artists to pursue creative careers.
Emily continues to grow her platform by sharing her work online while developing new stories and expanding her presence as an emerging artist.
