Nex Vierling is a rising comic artist with Ray Anthony Height’s Studio Skye-Tiger, as a cover artist, inker, and character designer. The protégé of Height (DC, Marvel), Nex is one of the only teenagers since the 1970s to contribute to a DC property, making their DC debut as an inker on The Power Company: Recharged #1 All In. Their variant cover for Anansi Comics’ The Godblade will debut at LACC. Trained in the traditional Marvel/DC comic style, Nex has fused that foundation with influences from manga and anime through a self-directed study of legendary creator Junji Ito—who, after reviewing their work, told Nex: “This honors me.” A 2025 graduate of the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts, a nationally recognized arts-focused high school, Nex is quickly emerging as a standout new voice in the industry.
