Frequently Asked Questions

What safety precautions are you taking for Los Angeles Comic Con 2021?

  • The Health & Safety of Los Angeles Comic Con and the LA community has always been and will continue to be a top priority. We will remain in close contact with the LA Dept. of Public Safety and state officials, working together to create the safest possible environment. Our team will continue to closely monitor and learn from best practices as they are implemented across the events industry to provide the best in class and safest experience possible.

I bought a ticket for 2020 and opted to roll them over to 2021. Do I need a new ticket with the December dates?

  • Nope! The original ticket you purchased will work for 2021.

What’s a 3-Session Pass? Is it the same as a 3-Day Weekend Pass?

  • The 3-Session Pass is this year’s version of the 3-Day Weekend Pass. It allows fans to choose which 3 sessions they want to attend, to coincide with the guests and activations they want to experience in person.

  • We are currently planning to split Saturday and Sunday into two 5-hour Sessions in order to better manage the crowd density of fans at the show.

  • With fewer fans attending any one session, 5-hour long sessions will allow you to explore the entire show in a significantly less crowded space.

  • If you plan to purchase or have already bought the 3-Session Pass, you will be asked at a later date to confirm which sessions you will attend.

  • If public health and crowd density guidelines allow us to reconsider full 3-Day Weekend Passes, your 3-Session Pass will automatically transfer to a 3-Day Weekend Pass.

Are kids 12 and under free this year?

  • This year kids 6 and under get in free.

  • Unfortunately, because of limited capacity at any one time, only a finite number of free children’s tickets are available this year.

  • (We’re not psyched about this either).

What is your refund policy?

  • Any tickets purchased for the 2021 event are subject to normal, non-refundable ticket provisions unless the event is postponed or rescheduled.

  • In the event Los Angeles Comic Con 2021 is postponed, we are offering a full rollover to all attendees.

What if I just don’t feel comfortable attending?

  • We totally understand. We respect the respect the choice of anyone who doesn’t yet feel comfortable in a crowded public setting deciding not to attend this year’s event in person. We’ll miss you! We will have extensive live digital coverage of all Main Stage panels, many secondary activations, and a Cosplay Cam. Digital-only tickets will be released closer to the event date.

Where, when and how can I pick up my badge?

  • For the first time ever, we will be able to ship badges for 2021 in advance for all tickets ordered before the cutoff date.

  • Badge mailing will be $10/order (Includes all admission tickets ordered).

  • For those who chose to pick their badge up at the show, Attendee Badge Redemption will be located in the Concourse Hall.

Can I have a friend pick up my badge?

  • Yes! As long as they have your scannable ticket or your QR Code on their smartphone, they will be able to pick up your badge.

What if I lose my badge?

  • If you lose or misplace your badge, you will have to purchase a replacement.

Where can I park?

  • There is parking available at the convention center itself and you can find out more about that HERE.

  • Additional lots exist in the area but might fill up quickly, so we recommend arriving early, carpooling or taking public transportation.

What about taking the Metro?

  • It’s cost-effective at only $1.75 each way and there is a stop across the street from the convention center off the BLUE and EXPO lines.

I’ve worked hard on my cosplay props/weapons. Will they be allowed on the floor?

  • In most cases, yes.

  • We have a duty to make sure that everyone who attends our show is safe and happy, so we ask that you review the cosplay props/weapons policy to avoid disappointment HERE.

What should I do if I feel as though I or someone else is being harassed?

  • If you see someone being harassed or you feel like someone is bothering you or being inappropriate, tell a Staff member or Security right away.

  • Read our complete Harassment Policy HERE.

Do I need to bring cash?

  • While many of our vendors take credit cards, we recommend bringing cash on hand just in case and there are several ATMs onsite.

What should I do if I get separated from my family or friends?

  • Families and groups should decide on a meeting point in the unlikely circumstance you get separated.

  • Pick an easy to locate spot landmark or a location; like the Lobby or under sign “400.”

  • If that doesn’t work or you feel truly lost, please ask a staff member or Security for help.

How early can I line up for a panel?

  • We recommend getting in line 30-45 minutes beforehand.

  • Remember, our panels start on time and we’d hate for you to miss out on a single minute.

What ADA accommodations do you provide?

  • A limited number of wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see the Help Desk in the South Hall Lobby for assistance with obtaining a wheelchair.

  • There will be American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters for our deaf attendees during Main Stage panels. In addition to ASL Interpreters at the Main Stage, we will have a limited number of ASL interpreters available for individual assistance.

  • In every panel room, a portion of the front row is reserved for attendees with disabilities or mobility issues. These seats will be kept open until five minutes before the start of the panel.

  • You can more about our ADA accommodations HERE.

Can I bring my pet?

  • The only animals permitted in the Los Angeles Convention Center are Service Animals, provided they are leashed or under similar control as appropriate. The owner takes full responsibility for their animal.

Will there be places to eat?

  • Yes, plenty of them! There will be restaurants open in the convention center itself.

  • Additional options can also be found nearby at L.A. Live.

What other tips do you have?

  • Wear comfortable shoes. You will be doing a lot of walking.

  • A LOT of walking.

  • Have your phone fully charged or bring a portable charger just in case! There will be a lot of rad photo opportunities you won’t want to miss out on!
