Frequently Asked Questions

What safety precautions are you taking for Los Angeles Comic Con 2021?

  • The Health & Safety protocols will be at or above the current rules and guidelines laid out by the city and the state.

  • Los Angeles Comic Con will follow the guidance for Indoor Mega-Events per the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). This means:
    • Face coverings are required for attendees 3 and above.
    • All attendees 12 and above must provide proof that they are either fully vaccinated or have received a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours.
  • You can read more HERE.

What is considered an appropriate face covering?

  • Examples of an appropriate face covering include a medical mask, a KN95 or a tightly-fitted cloth face covering.

  • A face shield alone cannot be substituted for a face covering under guidance of the CDPH.

What are the health and safety procedures for photo ops/autographs

  • Due to the ever-changing nature of Covid-19, local restrictions, and celebs comfort level, our health and safety procedures can change day by day so it’s always best to ask once you are on-site in the photo op or autograph area. We generally make plexiglass available to the celebs to use or not use at their discretion, for your and their safety.

Will the celebs have their masks on? Can I remove my mask for the photo

  • Generally, if plexiglass is being used in the booth, you will be permitted to remove your mask briefly to take your photo but ultimately it will be up to the celebs on what they are comfortable with. Just ask us before you enter the booth!

I bought a ticket for 2020 and opted to roll them over to 2021. Do I need a new ticket with the December dates?

  • Nope! The original ticket you purchased will work for 2021.

What happened to Session Passes?

  • We’ve decided to reinstate full Day and Weekend Passes to Los Angeles Comic Con 2021.
  • Splitting our Saturday and Sunday into two 5-hour sessions was a decision we made out of an abundance of caution, to dramatically reduce crowd density, not knowing what the health & safety guidelines would be at the time of our event.
  • After working closely with the state and local health officials for over a year, their current guidelines based on improving COVID-19 metrics, make it clear that smaller sessions are no longer a necessary health & safety guideline at this time.
  • Your 1-Session and 3-Session Pass will automatically transfer to a 1-Day or 3-Day Weekend Pass.

Are kids 12 and under free this year?

  • This year kids 6 and under get in free.

  • Unfortunately, because of limited capacity at any one time, only a finite number of free children’s tickets are available this year.

  • (We’re not psyched about this either).

What is your refund policy?

  • Any tickets purchased for the 2021 event are subject to normal, non-refundable ticket provisions unless the event is postponed or rescheduled.

  • In the event Los Angeles Comic Con 2021 is postponed, we are offering a full rollover to all attendees.

What if I just don’t feel comfortable attending?

  • We totally understand. We respect the respect the choice of anyone who doesn’t yet feel comfortable in a crowded public setting deciding not to attend this year’s event in person. We’ll miss you! We will have extensive live digital coverage of all Main Stage panels, many secondary activations, and a Cosplay Cam. Digital-only tickets will be released closer to the event date.

Where, when and how can I pick up my badge?

  • For the first time ever, we will be able to ship badges for 2021 in advance for tickets ordered before the cutoff date.

  • Badge mailing will be $10/order (Includes all admission tickets ordered).

  • For those who chose to pick their badge up at the show, Attendee Badge Redemption will be located in West Hall B.

Can I have a friend pick up my badge?

  • Yes! As long as they have your scannable ticket or your QR Code on their smartphone, they will be able to pick up your badge.

What if I lose my badge?

  • If you lose or misplace your badge, you will have to purchase a replacement.

Where can I park?

  • There is parking available at the convention center itself and you can find out more about that HERE.

  • Additional lots exist in the area but might fill up quickly, so we recommend arriving early, carpooling or taking public transportation.

What about taking the Metro?

  • It’s cost-effective at only $1.75 each way and there is a stop across the street from the convention center off the BLUE and EXPO lines.

Will CGC be available?

  • Yes, CGC will be available at Booth # 1664.

I’ve worked hard on my cosplay props/weapons. Will they be allowed on the floor?

  • In most cases, yes.

  • We have a duty to make sure that everyone who attends our show is safe and happy, so we ask that you review the cosplay props/weapons policy to avoid disappointment HERE.

What should I do if I feel as though I or someone else is being harassed?

  • If you see someone being harassed or you feel like someone is bothering you or being inappropriate, tell a Staff member or Security right away.

  • Read our complete Harassment Policy HERE.

Do I need to bring cash?

  • While many of our vendors take credit cards, we recommend bringing cash on hand just in case and there are several ATMs onsite.

What should I do if I get separated from my family or friends?

  • Families and groups should decide on a meeting point in the unlikely circumstance you get separated.

  • Pick an easy to locate spot landmark or a location; like the Lobby or under sign “400.”

  • If that doesn’t work or you feel truly lost, please ask a staff member or Security for help.

  • We recommend getting in line 30-45 minutes beforehand.

  • Remember, our panels start on time and we’d hate for you to miss out on a single minute.
